Idah Muendi Metto

Associate

Dispute Resolution and Litigation

About Idah

Idah is a formidable Litigation Associate at KMK Africa Advocates LLP, known for her strategic depth, tenacity in the courtroom, and a career spanning nearly a decade within the Kenyan legal corridors. With an extensive background that bridges the gap between high-level state legal practice and private commercial litigation, she brings a nuanced perspective to complex dispute resolution. Admitted to the Bar with four years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE), Idah’s legal journey began much earlier, having served as a mainstay in the legal profession since 2018.

Before joining KMK Africa Advocates LLP, Idah honed her craft through a prestigious residency at the Office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice. During her Pupillage and Holding Over period, she was immersed in the highest levels of state legal advisory and litigation, gaining rare insights into how the government interacts with private interests. Her transition into private practice was seamless, having already served as an Associate for three years at a reputable law firm where she managed a diverse portfolio of cases from inception to conclusion.

Idah’s academic foundation is as rigorous as her practice. She is a proud alumna of Kabarak University, where she earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) in 2018, graduating with a reputation for sharp analytical skills. She further solidified her credentials with a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.

Beyond her established expertise in litigation and dispute resolution, Idah has cultivated a keen interest in cyber security law, recognizing its growing importance in safeguarding digital assets, privacy, and commercial transactions in Kenya’s evolving legal landscape. This interest complements her litigation practice, positioning her at the intersection of traditional legal advocacy and emerging technology-driven disputes.
