Senior Business Development and Knowledge Management Consultant

Professional Background

Nisaa Sayed is a Senior Business Development and Knowledge Management Consultant at KMK Africa Advocates LLP, working towards enhancing the firm’s market profile, client materials, and external visibility. She brings over ten years of experience in legal practice, business development, knowledge management, and strategic advisory, combining strong legal expertise with a commercially focused, practical approach to firm growth.

Nisaa has held senior business development and knowledge management roles at several leading Kenyan firms. She spent six years as a Knowledge and Learning Lawyer, overseeing legal alerts, precedent and template management, and collaborating with the business development team on thought leadership and client communications. At another firm, she served as a Professional Support Lawyer, managing directory submissions, proposal support, firm events, and the internal training calendar. Most recently, as Director of Business Development and Knowledge Management at a local law firm, she led business development strategy, directed knowledge management systems, coordinated Chambers and Partners and IFLR1000 submissions, and managed the firm’s LinkedIn content and customer relations. In her current consulting capacity, Nisaa advises law firms and businesses on business development strategy, firm and practice positioning, legal directory submissions, client relationship management, digital presence, thought leadership, pitch and proposal support, and the integration of legal technology and artificial intelligence into practice workflows. She also helps strengthen firms’ market presentation, develop compelling practice area narratives, establish structured external partnerships with Deal HQ, and build consistent thought leadership publishing programmes, laying the foundations for wider, firm-wide business development programmes designed for long-term growth.

She holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Kent and was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 2016. Her legal career includes private practice in corporate, property, employment, and mergers and acquisitions, giving her a comprehensive understanding of law firm operations and client priorities.
